Nanowrimo Update!

I thought I would post this on the main site, just in case anybody's wondering what I've been up to...

That would be writing my ass off. It is November, so everything else is on the back burner while I work on this year's Nano Novel! It's kind of a spin-off from Modular living, which you can read at Oh/No Fiction

I'm working on the second draft of that one and working up to some sort of ending that will lead to this one. The tying bind between the two are the "Time Detectives" This started out as a story about Brunch. I just guess I like taking mundane things and making them weird. See: Grommets. hehe.

Okay, so that is where I've been off to, writing like a madwoman. The other projects will be back on the radar come December, don't worry! I swear I will finish the last Torchwood recap before series Three starts!

Actual Word Count:

5,063 Words and counting.

I'm sure there's some brilliant work in there from todays session, as I am totally about to fall out of my chair asleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzz. I didn't think I was going to write anything at all either!

I don't know what happened, I guess I just worked too hard today ;)

On a more disgusting note, the Starbucks Mocha from Monday that was percolating next to my computer was growing some nasty nasty shit in it. Note to self: Pour the coffee out if you don't drink it all....ON THE SAME DAY YOU BOUGHT IT.

Progress!

Whoa, Yesterday my progress meter was barely registering anything and now look! Hahaha, Tommorrow I will post my Actual word count, but for today you get a lovely exerpt of top notch quality writing:

Even though the technological revolution had plateaued the human race was still making great strides in reality television. The dating game show, Love Hurts, started out with 100 people, fifty of each sex. The contestants were randomly paired up and made to play many sorts of degrading games and challenges, including eating bugs and seeing how long they could stay underwater. The wining couples gained immunity and the rest were required to switch partners. They all cohabitated in a big house and every other week one of the couples was voted off the show. The last two couples standing had a tag team boxing match to determine the winner of a million dollars and marriage to their partner. They were then under contract to stay married for a year and film, “Love Hurts”, the movie, which was to be released in theaters worldwide. The host was a smarmy man, named Chase McChester who wore plaid suits and had a huge blonde pompadour.

This is actually one of the "Dares" from the Dares thread on the Nanowrimo Forums. And it's not totally out of context either. ;)

National Novel Writing Month is ON.

Yes it is upon us, the National Novel Writing Month , that is also known as November. I'm already off to a flying leap on my Novel. It's a Sci-Fi yarn, if I must put it into a Genre, which takes place...all over the place really. Right now it's called Modular Living. Which is only a working title...in fact it's actually the first Chapter's title only, but until I have more of it written I won't know what the real title will be. Anyway, if Anybody reading here wants to join me it isn't too late! You can do it! Rah, Rah! I have a full time job and side stuff I'm doing, but I'm going to cram productive writing time into ever spare moment of my day.

Feel free to just cheer me on. I'll be posting whatever about it here. I also added a progress meter on the sidebar so you can see how much awesome progress I'm making! I'm going to continue to bee excited until I type out everything I wrote on paper today and it only amounts to, 250 words or something :ecstatic
